Rhuan Lodestone was something of a mystery to Havenford. The town was founded in the spring, and managed a decent harvest that fall. The following spring a lone dwarf trundled into town in a huge wagon. He took a room at the inn and asked if the farmers of the village had a miller. The folks in Havenford, being city folks for the most part, were familiar with a grist-mill but no one was familiar enough to build one. Antonio pointed him in Connor Farrow's direction, being one of the most experienced farmers in the town and well respected for helping Havenford begin. Connor had never seen a mill before, being a country farmer, but he was fascinated by the idea of not having to do the tedious chore of grinding his own grain. Connor pointed out that there was no river nearby though, and he was concerned that the mill might have to be built quite a ways away. Rhuan told him not to worry, and that he didn't require a river.
He built his own mill that was easily powered by oxen, and could also be operated by a single person due to a complex system of gears he said he had designed. The townsfolk were quite impressed with the ease that his mill worked, and were happy to welcome him into the community. Rhuan was quite recalcitrant when it came to his background, but other than that he was very friendly and always animated when it came to making improvements, or new ideas and problems he could tackle. He was also a competent blacksmith, and helped out on big projects in the early days of Havenford.
